Aussie Plume Hidden Ginger
Scientific Name: Curcuma australasica
Large tropical leaves emerge from a dormant tuber in late spring resembling a dwarf banana
Grow in full sun to part shade in well-drained moist soil and plant grows 4-6′ tall.
Dark Pink inflorescence produced in spring (ground level) and summer (out of the top of the plant)
Multiplies readily in full sun, less in the shade
First cold front causes the foliage to turn bright yellow starting dormancy
Allow plant to lay down and cut to ground leaving 6″ of stem
Uses: Tropical effect, use in mass or singly
