You’ll find the plant selection here at The Arbor Gate to be incredibly diverse!
One of our specialties is roses. The year we offer will over 100 varieties of antique, old and own root roses. The roses have been around for generations, and for good reason! Disease and pest resistant, these varieties require little care and will be highlights in your garden for years to come. In addition, we carry all the Earthkind varieties, which have been extensively tested by Texas A&M University for hardiness, long bloom time, and easy care.
Our display gardens showcase our plants in natural settings. Wondering what herbs grow in Texas? Looking for that cottage garden look? Think you have too much shade to get color?

Our original shop, entered as soon as you pass through our signature arbor, carries anything and everything for the discerning gardener. Here you’ll find fertilizers, soil amendments, lawn products, garden hats, gloves, and gardening books.
A short stroll through our gardens brings you to The Arbor Gate too!, a treasure trove of amenities for enhancing the hospitable home. This delightful 1930’s frame house, discovered in the Houston Heights and moved to The Arbor Gate in the late 1990’s, is surrounded on all sides by stunning display gardens. The house, beautifully renovated, provides a unique environment that’s sure to stimulate your creativity and imagination.
