Marion Drummond died Saturday. It was her birthday. She was 83. Marion will be remembered for many things, among them: her hard head, her soft heart, and her green thumb. One of her signature talents was gathering people and using her wiles to persuade them to take on tasks they never knew they could or wanted to. That tenacious enthusiasm, while daunting to some, was more often than not welcomed wholeheartedly by people and groups whose cause she saw fit to champion; their faith was well placed. Marion made a difference. She will be missed, but not easily forgotten.

So sad to lose Marion…;
She loved plants and plant people.
God Bless her Family
Maid Marion was a human horticultural spark plug. She’s one of the many fond memories I have of my Baton Rouge days. -GG
