“Water, The Necessary Ingredient” is the topic of the Houston Rose Society meeting, Thursday, August 9, 2018, 7:00 PM at the Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion, 1500 Hermann Drive, Houston 77004. The parking lot is Lot C located at Hermann Drive and Crawford Street. Baxter Williams will present the program. Baxter is the past president of the Houston Rose Society. He is a master consulting rosarian, ARS horticultural judge and ARS South Central District Director. Baxter and his wife, Patsy have been growing roses in Houston for many years. Their garden contains over 500 roses of all types. Attend the meeting and learn the best practices for drainage and irrigation of your roses. The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM, come at 7:00 PM for social time. Remember to bring a special rose from your garden for Grow and Tell.  Free Admission, www.houstonrose.org
