Tyler, Texas — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting The East Texas Turfgrass Conference Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 8:00- 3:20 PM at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Overton, Texas. The address is 1710 FM 3053 Overton, Texas. This program is open to Master Gardeners, lawn care professionals, school district ground maintenance and sport’s fields managers, and anyone else interested in general lawn care. The topics covered will be: Integrated Pest Management Strategies in Turfgrass, Reading and Understanding Pesticide Labels, Disease Management in Turfgrass, Turfgrass Weed Control Strategies, New Pest Tolerant Turfgrass Varieties, and Gopher and Mole control. Featured presenters for the 2020 conference will include: Greg Grant, Dr. Chrissie Segars, Erfan Vafaie, and Lee Dudley. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM. The cost of the program is $35, payable at the door. 5 hours of TDA CEU credit will be given. Bring pesticide license information with you to ensure proper credit.
