Understanding and applying the right products in your garden at the right time of year will make all the difference in growing beautiful roses. Gaye Hammond, Master Rosarian and Past-President of the Houston Rose Society, is passionate about teaching others how to grow roses.  She has presented at local rose societies across the United States and written over 300 articles that have been published in local, state, national and international magazines, newspapers, and books.

Gaye will discuss the history of fertilizers; and describe the three types of fertilizer-granular, water soluble, and slow/timed release fertilizers.  The difference in organic and synthetic fertilizers will be explained along with the pros and cons of each type of product.  Gaye will share tips on when to use these products and will also let us know which products are used in her garden.

Join us on Thursday, March 10th at 7 pm virtually. The virtual meeting link will be available on The Houston Rose Society website at http://www.houstonrose.org/
