As one of the most famous rose breeders, David Austin introduced over 190 rose cultivars during his life time. Many of them not only send out beautiful blooms but also have wonderful fragrance. On the HRS monthly meeting in April, Gaye Hammond will introduce the fragrant shrub roses of David Austin. Gaye is the past president of Houston Rose society. She is also a life member of American Rose Society. As an avid writer, she published more than 300 articles and also has been a special section editor to the American Rose magazine.
