On February 13, 2020, Houston Rose Society will hold its annual rose pruning party. Master Rosarians will be on the spot to show the techniques on how to prune various roses including hybrid teas, floribundas, miniatures and climbers. They will demonstrate what to prepare, which equipment to use, where to cut, and how much to cut. Questions will be answered on the spot. Pruned bushes will be raffled as door prizes. Most gardeners start to prune roses after Valentine’s Day. This party will be good timing and educational. Please join us for an evening of fun and prizes. Where: Cherie Flores Pavilion, 1500 Hermann Drive, Houston 77004. When: 7:00 PM for social time and refreshments. The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM. Free Admission. www.houstonrose.org
