The topic of the Houston Rose Society meeting Thursday, September 8, 2019, will be “Blackspot, Bugs and Garden Safety.” Dr. Allen Owings will present the program. Dr. Owings is a retired professor Emeritus at LSU AgCenter. He is a Senior Horticulturist at Bracy’s Nursery and an American Rose Society Regional 7 Director. The meeting will be held at the Cherie Flores Pavilion, 1500 Hermann Drive, Houston 77004. Come at 7:00 PM for refreshments. The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM. Free Admission. houstonrose.org
