Tyler, Texas — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Smith County will host a home gardening production and preservation seminar from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, April 20th at the East Texas Fairgrounds, Building C. There will be a follow-up vegetable production tour from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 17th. Cost is $15 per session or $25 for both.

Greg Grant, Smith County Horticulturist will conduct the lecture on garden planning, planting, and production while Patrice Dunagin, Family and Consumer Science Agent will present the preservation education portion.

The seminar is sponsored by Smith County Farm Bureau and Texas Farm Credit. After the program there will be a raffle for a signed copy of Greg Grant’s Texas Fruit and Vegetable Gardening book.
